The GST on commercial vehicles has been lowered to 18%, a move the automaker believes will revive India’s transport and logistics sector.
The company noted that commercial vehicles are vital to India’s growth, powering logistics, trade, and connectivity. With the tax reduction, Tata Motors expects the total cost of ownership for transporters, fleet operators, and small businesses to decline.
It said the change will also encourage faster fleet modernisation and wider adoption of advanced, cleaner mobility solutions, helping operators cut costs, improve efficiency, and boost profits.
Tata Motors further urged customers to book early to make the most of the reduced prices during the upcoming festive season.
