Panoor murder: Reports claim conspiracy hatched through WhatsApp

Kannur: In connection with the murder of Muslim League activist Mansoor in Panoor here, the probe team has been able to retrieve crucial information from the phone of the accused Shinos, found from the crime spot.

Latest reports stated that the conspiracy for murder was hatched through WhatsApp. The chat messages revealed their plan to take revenge on Muhsin, brother of Mansoor, who was injured in the attack.

Police have found messages regarding procurement of bomb and other weapons, from the chat. Many of the chat messages in the phone have been deleted.

If the deleted messages are retrieved with technical help, more information can be obtained, expect police. The phone has been handed over to the cyber cell for the same.

A total of 24 persons were involved in the conspiracy among which 11 were directly involved in the murder.
