Mammootty holds Sruthi close at community wedding in Jenson’s absence | WATCH
Sruthi, who lost her family in the Wayanad landslide, arrived in Kochi without Jenson and was wrapped with the love of actor Mammootty. Mammootty was a guest at the community wedding ceremony here called ‘Truth Mangalyam,’ organised for 40 couples. This ceremony was meant to celebrate the union of Sruthi and Jenson, but tragedy struck when Jenson lost his life in a car accident just before their wedding.
Despite the loss, Mammootty insisted that Sruthi be invited as a guest to the community wedding and that everything reserved for the couple should be handed over to her. Sruthi accepted the invitation to attend the ceremony organised by ‘Truth Films,’ led by Samad, who is the managing director and a close friend of Mammootty.
On the day of the event, Mammootty personally handed over the funds intended for Sruthi and Jenson to her. Robert Kuriakos, who coordinates Mammootty's charity work, shared footage of this heartfelt moment on social media.
"This is a piece of paper; there’s no cheque inside, but it’s a symbol—a symbol of love," Mammootty said as he presented it to Sruthi on stage and held her close.

The event was originally intended for Sruthi and Jenson who were one among the 40 couples. Upon hearing the story of their loss in the Wayanad tragedy, Mammootty and Samad decided to honour Sruthi and Jenson by organising their wedding at this venue. Mammootty ensured that everything needed for the ceremony was arranged.
Jenson unexpectedly passed away in a car accident while preparing for their marriage. However, Mammootty insisted that Sruthi be invited to the community wedding and that all items reserved for the couple be given directly to her. Accepting Samad's invitation, Sruthi arrived with well wishes for the other couples at the ceremony. When Mammootty accepted Samad’s request and handed over the cover meant for Shruti and Jensen, it brought tears to Shruti's eyes and touched her heart.”
