Sruthi, who had already endured immense loss from a landslide in Wayanad, is now facing new grief as her fiancé, Jenson, died on Wednesday from injuries sustained in a serious road accident. Jenson, a native of Andoor, Ambalavayal, was critically injured when the Omni van he was driving collided with a bus near Vellaramkunnu on the Kozhikode-Kollegal National Highway.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and involved nine people, including Jenson and Sruthi. Jenson had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Meppadi but tragically succumbed to uncontrollable bleeding.

Sruthi, who suffered only a minor leg injury, was among those in the van. The other passengers did not sustain serious injuries. CCTV footage of the collision, which later appeared online, shows the dramatic impact of the crash.

The van collided with a bus named 'Butterfly,' which was travelling from Kozhikode to Sultan Bathery. Fire rescue teams from Kalpetta, assisted by local residents, worked diligently to free the passengers trapped inside the vehicle.

In an additional blow, Sruthi’s cousin Lavanya was also injured in the accident. Lavanya had previously lost her parents and brother in the same landslide that devastated Sruthi’s family. She is the daughter of Sruthi’s father Shivanna’s brother, Siddaraj, and his wife Divya.
