Even the video on the launch event shared by Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted these performers.

In another video shared by the ministry, these performers grooving to dappankuthu (a type of folk music in Tamil Nadu) beats can be seen.

The objective of rolling out the scheme according to Railways website is to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world through theme- based tourist circuit trains. Coincidentally, art forms echoing Kerala’s cultural heritage grabbed eyeballs in the launch of the first train under the scheme.
