Mumbai: In the spirit of the festive season in India, American toy company Mattel has teamed up with renowned fashion designer Anita Dongre to introduce a special Barbie doll with a unique Indian touch.

The new Barbie signature Diwali doll features a stunning moonlight bloom lehenga, designed by Dongre. It includes a choli top, a floral Koti vest, and a lehenga skirt decorated with beautiful motifs of dahlias, jasmine, and Indian lotus, representing strength and beauty.

To enhance the look, the doll sports a radiant bindi, along with golden bangles and earrings. This doll captures the elegance and joy of Diwali, highlighting Indian artistry and craftsmanship.

On launching the Diwali-inspired Barbie doll, Lalit Agarwal, Country Manager, Mattel India, in a press note said, "We are dedicated to reflecting the stories young girls see in the world around them through Barbie, and we couldn't be more honoured to partner with renowned Indian couturier Anita Dongre to create a doll that furthers this mission.
