‘Premalu' actor Mamitha Baiju joins Vijay in ‘Thalapathy 69’

Chennai: Malayalam actor Mamitha Baiju, known for her role in Premalu, is set to join Thalapathi Vijay in the highly anticipated film, tentatively titled, Thalapathy 69. Directed by H. Vinod, the movie is generating a lot of buzz on social media with every update.

Previously, the production house confirmed that Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde would be part of the cast. Now, the exciting news is that Mamitha Baiju will also be featured in the film. Venkat K. Narayana is producing the film under KVN Productions, with co-production by Jagadish Palaniswami and Lohit NK. Anirudh Ravichander will serve as the music director.

The makers have announced that filming for Thalapathy 69 is scheduled to begin in October this year, with a planned release in theatres in October 2025. KVN Productions has indicated that more exciting announcements are on the way, including details about additional cast members and crew. Fans are eagerly awaiting further updates on this star-studded project.

Earlier, the tribute video, titled "The Love for Thalapathy," was released by the production company. The emotional video showcases fans’ memories of Vijay and highlights his significant impact on his audience. It also includes the phrase "one last time" to indicate that this will be Vijay's final film. The video expresses gratitude to Vijay for entertaining fans for over 30 years, stating: "We grew up with your films. You have been a part of our lives. Thank you, Thalapathy, for entertaining us for more than 30 years."

Meanwhile, Vijay's latest release, The GOAT, was a massive hit in theatres, with Venkat Prabhu serving as the director and screenwriter.
