John Abraham has made another major real estate investment in Mumbai, purchasing a ₹84 crore freehold bungalow in Bandra West. The deal was registered on July 14, 2026, as independent homes in the city’s most sought-after neighbourhoods continue to command premium prices.

According to property registration documents accessed by Liases Foras, the bungalow is located on St Martin Road in Bandra West. The property stands on a 1,017.60-square-metre plot and includes an existing bungalow with a built-up area of approximately 193.12 square metres. An outhouse measuring around 31.50 square metres is also part of the property.

The actor reportedly paid ₹5.04 crore in stamp duty for the transaction. The freehold property was purchased from Naushir Eruch Divitre, Fredon Eruch Divitre, Crystal Firoz Divitre and Eruch Firoz Divitre through a registered conveyance deed.

John Abraham already owns a ₹70.83 crore Khar bungalow

The Bandra purchase comes after another high-value property deal by John Abraham. In December 2023, the actor bought a bungalow in Mumbai’s Khar area for ₹70.83 crore.

The property, located along Linking Road, included a 5,416-square-foot bungalow on a 7,722-square-foot plot. The transaction was registered on December 27, 2023, with ₹4.24 crore paid as stamp duty.

The latest deal places John among the Bollywood personalities who have continued to invest in standalone homes and land parcels in Mumbai’s most established residential pockets.

Why independent bungalows command premium prices in Mumbai

Bandra, Juhu and Malabar Hill have some of the city’s most tightly held residential properties. Independent bungalows in these areas are rarely available, largely because of the limited supply of sizeable plots in established neighbourhoods.

This scarcity has pushed up the value of such homes, with several recent transactions involving high-profile properties reaching the ₹100 crore mark. Juhu’s Villa Wilson was reportedly sold for ₹135 crore, while the Leela bungalow transaction was valued at ₹221 crore.

John Abraham’s ₹84 crore purchase comes amid this growing interest in Mumbai’s limited inventory of large, standalone residences.

Ranbir Kapoor, Preity Zinta also make recent Mumbai property moves

John Abraham’s property acquisition comes alongside several other major real estate transactions involving Bollywood names.

Ranbir Kapoor recently purchased four land parcels in Pune’s Pimpri village for a combined ₹16.42 crore, according to data shared by CRE Matrix. The plots are located in Mulshi taluka and vary considerably in size. The transactions were registered on April 30, with a total stamp duty payment of ₹82.13 lakh.

The actor had also purchased land in Ayodhya’s The Sarayu project, developed by House of Abhinandan Lodha, for approximately ₹3.31 crore.

Meanwhile, Preity Zinta has taken a 1,500-square-foot apartment on rent in Bandra West’s Art Veda building. Her lease began on May 27, 2026, with the monthly rent set at ₹6 lakh during the first year and ₹6.5 lakh in the second. The agreement includes a ₹27 lakh security deposit.

The actor had earlier sold an apartment in Pali Hill for ₹18.50 crore and also sold two apartments in the Rustomjee Parishram building between November 2025 and March 2026.
