Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that he recently underwent surgery and spent time in the ICU before returning home. In a late-night blog post, the veteran actor opened up about the difficult period following his discharge from the hospital.

The veteran actor did not share the reason for his surgery or provide specific details about his health. However, he mentioned being in the hospital and getting under the knife.

Big B described the period after his homecoming as the ‘most difficult phase’ of his recovery. He opened up about the physical, psychological and practical challenges that follow after leaving the hospital.

'..in Hospital in a surgery and in the ICU, under the care of proficient Doctors and medical Staff .. a discharge .. and a homecoming ..,” he wrote in his blog.

He added that the period after returning home can be the toughest part of the journey, writing, 'this homecoming period is the most difficult phase .. physically, psychologically and practically ..”

He also reflected on facing setbacks after years of success. In his blog, he wrote about a champion confronting defeat and the choices people make when dealing with difficult phases in life.

'Some brave it .. some succumb .. they that strive and be brave ever remain Champions .. they that do not, get reconciled and live, exist in the past glory .. a choice each makes individually ..” he wrote.

He ended the note with a message asking readers to be well and happy.

Bachchan has not disclosed further details about the surgery or the reason for his hospitalisation.

The actor continues to remain active professionally and is set to return as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. He was last seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2’.
