How to delete your Google Gemini activity

Google Gemini can save your prompts, chats, and interactions to improve the AI experience, but not everyone wants their activity stored indefinitely. Here's a step-by-step guide to checking what's saved and removing it when needed.
Steps to find your Gemini Activity
- Visit Gemini on your computer at Gemini.google.com.
- Choose Activity after clicking Settings & Help.
- Alternatively, go directly to Google's My Activity page for Gemini.
- Users can view past prompts, chats, and interactions stored in their Google Account when the Keep Activity setting is enabled.
Steps to delete Gemini Activity
- Open the Activity section in Gemini.
- Choose the activity that you wish to delete.
- Select from the options that are available:
- Delete all activity.
- Delete activity from the last hour or last day.
- Delete activity within a custom date range.
- Delete activity from a specific day.
- Delete an individual conversation or interaction.
When a Gemini Live chat is deleted, related transcripts, audio files, videos, and screen-sharing information are also deleted.
Steps to Turn Off Activity Tracking
- Go to Settings & Help > Activity in Gemini.
- Click the Keep Activity setting near the top of the page.
- Select Turn Off or Turn Off and Delete Activity.
Things to know before deleting activity
Deleting a conversation does not delete the Gemini itself. Similarly, removing a shared chat does not automatically delete its public link. Users must separately manage those items if they wish to remove them completely.
