PhD and Integrated MSc PhD admissions at NISER Bhubaneswar: Apply by April 30

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar has invited applications from Indian citizens for admission to Ph.D program scheduled to commence in August, 2022.

PhD Program is available in schools Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Computer Sciences, Earth & Planetary Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.

Minimum Educational Qualifications including marks in qualifying course for admission to the Program in each school and the Qualifying in National Level Examinations requirement for pursuing Ph.D program are given in the detailed Notification at https://www.niser.ac.in/

Fellowship: The institute fellowship given by NISER is Rs. 31,000/- for first two years, which will subsequently be enhanced to Rs. 35,000/- for remaining three years, subject to the condition that he/she fulfils all the requirements of the Institute that will be stipulated from time to time. Students with external fellowship from agencies viz. CSIR, UGC etc will be eligible to draw fellowship as per the extant rules of the respective funding agencies.

Applications have also been invited for admission to the Integrated MSc-PhD Programme in Physics offered at the School of Physical Sciences, NISER.

Applicant should have a First class Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences or an equivalent degree with Physics as one of the main subjects or BE/B.Tech in Engineering Physics. Those who are appearing in their Final Examination for Bachelor’s Degree can also apply.

Applicant should have qualified in JAM 2022 or JEST 2022.

Application for both can be submitted online at http://www.niser.ac.in latest by 30.4.2022. Those who are appearing in the final semester/year of qualifying examination in 2022 are also eligible to apply.
