Kumily: In a tragic incident, a man was burned to death when the bike he was travelling caught fire. The deceased has been identified as Abraham (Thangachen, 50). The incident took place in Anakkara around 5 AM on Friday morning. It is believed that when the flames burst out, Abraham got off the vehicle and tried to flee but suffered serious burns. 

The accident occurred when Abraham, a private bus driver, was going to the bus stand in the morning. The fire quickly caught onto his clothes. He got off the bike and ran towards a nearby field but the flames engulfed his whole body.

As the place was deserted early in the morning, even the nearby residents learned of the incident quite late. Kumily police reached the spot upon receiving information and have begun proceedings.
