Actress Varalaxmi, daughter of actor Sarathkumar, and Nicholai Sachdev's pre-wedding celebrations started with a mehndi ceremony at a hotel on June 30. The wedding is expected to take place in the presence of family and friends on July 2.

A video of the Mehandi ceremony was dropped on social media by Radikaa Sarathkumar's daughter, Rayane Mithun. In another video, actor Sarathkumar can be seen dancing to 'Appadi Podu' from the movie 'Ghilli'. 

Varalaxmi, who was born to actor Sarathkumar and Chaya, made her debut with the Tamil film 'Podaa Podi' in 2012. She made her acting debut in Malayalam in the Mammootty starrer 'Kasaba'.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is invited to the wedding. She had shared a series of photos with PM Modi as well as Sachdev, Sarathkumar, and Radhika Sarathkumar. 

Sharing the photos on Saturday, Varalaxmi tweeted after meeting PM Modi, “What a privilege it was to have met Our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and invited him for our reception... thank you for being so warm and welcoming... spending so much of your valuable time with us despite your very busy schedule... truly an honour sir... thank you daddy @realsarathkumar for making this happen... @realradikaa.”

In a recent interview, Varalaxmi revealed that she met Sachdev, a gallerist based in Mumbai, 14 years ago, but fell in love recently.
