iPhone 17 series likely to launch on September with pre-orders and sale on the same month

Apple is reportedly planning to launch the iPhone 17 series on 9 September 2025, as part of its annual September hardware event.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, according to a report by German outlet iPhone-Ticker.de. The date aligns with Apple’s typical launch pattern and predictions from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who also pointed to 9 or 10 September as likely options.

If the leak holds, pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series may begin on Friday, 12 September, with official sales starting on 19 September.
During the September event, Apple is also likely to introduce other products, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, along with three smartwatches: Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and Apple Watch Ultra 3. There are also rumours of AirPods Pro 3 being announced.
Additionally, Apple is expected to roll out iOS 26, with the final stable version releasing a week after the iPhone 17 becomes available.
What’s new in iPhone 17?
This year’s iPhone 17 lineup will bring significant upgrades. The iPhone 17 Air, replacing the previous Plus variant, is tipped to feature an ultra-thin design. The Pro and Pro Max models could receive a design overhaul with a new camera setup, aluminium frame, and anti-reflective glass display. All models may be powered by the A19 chip, while the Air and Pro variants are expected to include 12GB RAM.
