Samsung Electronics announced on Tuesday that it will host its next 'Galaxy Unpacked' event in New York next month (July 9), where it is set to unveil the latest Galaxy Z series smartphones. The upcoming foldables will feature cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) and an ultra-slim design.

The tech giant said the new-generation Galaxy devices are being "reimagined around a new AI-powered interface, supported by breakthrough hardware built to unlock their full potential."

“This future is already unfolding, and the best of Galaxy AI and Samsung craftsmanship is about to be unveiled,” the company said in a statement.

Samsung is widely expected to reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the event, both likely to showcase larger displays, upgraded cameras, and enhanced AI capabilities, as teased earlier.

The company added, “No longer just a collection of apps and tools, the smartphone is evolving into a smart companion that understands user intent and responds in real time.”

Samsung typically hosts two Unpacked events annually, one in winter and one in summer. The last event, held in San Jose in January, introduced the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung said it continues to build devices around users' real needs, from better performance to smarter connectivity, and that Galaxy AI represents a shift beyond what devices can do.

“As AI rapidly becomes the new user interface, it’s redefining our relationship with technology. No longer just a collection of apps and tools, the smartphone is evolving into a smart companion that understands user intent and responds in real time,” the company said.

“This transformation moves us from reaction to anticipation — where, as AI becomes the UI, intent becomes instant,” it added.

People in India can watch the launch live at 7:30 PM IST on Samsung’s YouTube channel or official website.
