Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra tablets have reportedly been detailed in a new leak, revealing specifications including the display, processor, RAM, storage, cameras and battery.

According to German publication WinFuture, both tablets will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 (MT6993) chipset. However, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to offer higher memory and storage configurations than the Plus model.

Galaxy Tab S12 Plus

The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus is tipped to feature a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2800 x 1752-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

One of the notable upgrades is expected to be the battery. The tablet could pack a 10,600mAh battery, up from the 10,090mAh unit found on the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus. Charging support is reportedly capped at 45W.

The Plus model could come with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. A microSD card slot is also expected, allowing users to expand storage by up to 2TB.

For photography, the tablet is tipped to feature a 13MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera. It could also have two speakers, an IP68 rating and an S Pen included in the box.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus is also reportedly lighter than its predecessor. At 555 grams, it is said to weigh less than the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, which weighs 571 grams.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to retain the large 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The panel is tipped to offer a 2960 x 1848-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Ultra model is reportedly powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset but could offer more memory options. It is expected to be available with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, while storage options could include 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.

Like the Plus model, the Ultra is expected to support microSD cards, with storage expansion of up to 2TB.

The tablet could retain its 11,600mAh battery, with support for up to 45W fast charging. Its camera setup is expected to be more advanced than the Plus, with a 13MP primary rear camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera. A 12MP camera is tipped for the front.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is reportedly set to weigh 693 grams, the same as its predecessor. It could also feature four speakers and an IP68 rating.

Both tablets expected to share key hardware

The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and Ultra are expected to share several specifications, including the Dimensity 9500 processor, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, UFS 4.0 storage, microSD expansion and IP68 protection.

The biggest differences are likely to be in display size, camera configuration, RAM and maximum storage. The Ultra is tipped to offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, while the Plus could max out at 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

WinFuture's leak also suggests Samsung is making the Plus model lighter while giving it a larger battery than its predecessor. The Ultra, meanwhile, appears to retain the same battery capacity and weight as the previous generation.

Samsung has not officially confirmed the leaked specifications or the launch details of the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
