Perplexity’s AI-powered web browser Comet is now available to Pro subscribers in India, with support for both Windows and Mac devices. The launch follows its global debut in July 2025.

Designed for professionals and researchers, Comet integrates directly with Perplexity’s AI search engine and offers features such as Comet Assistant, which automates routine tasks like managing tabs, summarising emails, and navigating web pages. Unlike conventional browsers such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, Comet provides a workspace interface, enabling users to access relevant information seamlessly without relying on multiple tabs.

The browser also includes an AI-powered sidebar that can execute tasks such as scheduling meetings, purchasing products, or converting webpages into emails. It continuously tracks user activity, what they have read, worked on, or browsed, to recommend related information.

Currently, Comet is limited to Mac and Windows users, with Android pre-orders open on the Google Play Store. An iOS launch is also in the works, although release dates are not yet listed on app marketplaces.
