Oppo Find X9 and X9 Pro to debut with Dimensity 9500, Hasselblad cameras, and ColorOS 16. India launch soon

Oppo has officially announced that its next flagship smartphones, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, will debut as the first devices powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor. The reveal came alongside MediaTek’s launch of the chip. Both phones will also introduce ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.
According to Oppo’s post on the Chinese platform Weibo, the Find X9 series is set to launch in China on October 16, featuring the Dimensity 9500 under the hood. Pre-reservations for the phones are already open on Oppo’s official website. While a global launch is confirmed, the company has not shared specific international release dates.
The Find X9 series will incorporate Oppo’s proprietary ‘Trinity Engine,’ which the company describes as “Android’s first unified computing power model.” This technology is designed to enhance efficiency, particularly during high-performance usage.
MediaTek has highlighted significant improvements in the Dimensity 9500 compared with its predecessor, including a 32% boost in single-core performance and a 55% increase in energy efficiency at peak performance.
Hasselblad cameras and battery details
Continuing Oppo’s collaboration with Hasselblad, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will reportedly feature Hasselblad-branded cameras. The X9 Pro is rumoured to include a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, while Oppo is also expected to offer a professional Hasselblad photography kit with the devices.
Battery capacities are expected to be generous, with the Find X9 featuring a 7,000mAh cell and the Find X9 Pro a 7,500mAh unit, both supporting fast charging similar to the previous Find X8 series.
Both phones will ship with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Oppo plans a public rollout of the software in China on October 15.

Oppo has not revealed the exact timeline for India, but Chief Product Officer Pete Lau confirmed that the Find X9 series will have a global launch. Pricing details remain under wraps; for reference, the Find X8 series debuted in India starting at ₹69,999, with the Pro version at ₹99,999.
