
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has announced a fresh update to GPT-4o, the advanced AI model powering ChatGPT. Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Altman described the update as a major leap forward in AI performance and improved ability to tackle complex technical and coding problems. He called the update a "big stride" in enhancing AI capabilities.
In his latest tweet, Altman stated, "new version of GPT-4o particularly good at coding, instruction following, and freedom."
This latest enhancement makes GPT-4o more efficient at handling complex coding challenges, refining code quality, and executing detailed instructions with greater accuracy. The AI also demonstrates improved intuition and creativity when interpreting user prompts. Altman highlighted that the model now responds better to multi-part instructions and produces fewer emoji-based responses.
OpenAI tweeted, "GPT-4o got an another update in ChatGPT! What's different? Better at following detailed instructions, especially prompts containing multiple requests. Improved capability to tackle complex technical and coding problems. Improved intuition and creativity. Fewer emojis”.
The upgraded GPT-4o is currently accessible to paid ChatGPT users; those using the free version can expect access soon. Developers can also utilise the improved model via OpenAI’s API, enabling seamless integration into various applications.
