Newly leaked images suggest the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Air will feature redesigned camera modules and sleeker builds

Anticipation is building for Apple’s September 2025 event, where the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to unveil its next flagship line-up—the iPhone 17 series. However, ahead of the official launch, leaked images of the iPhone 17 Pro and the new iPhone 17 Air have surfaced online, giving fans and tech enthusiasts a possible first look at what Apple has in store.
Shared by tipster @MajinBuOfficial on X (formerly Twitter) and featured in a YouTube video by Unbox Therapy, the images show both models in a sleek black finish with notably redesigned camera layouts.
The iPhone 17 Air, rumoured to be the slimmest iPhone ever made, appears with a single rear camera and LED flash placed at the top right. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro features a triple-camera setup in a triangular arrangement, again with the flash located in the top right corner. This visual overhaul aligns with several earlier leaks suggesting that Apple may finally move away from the vertical camera island we’ve seen for years.
It’s important to note, however, that these images are not confirmed by Apple, and as with all leaks, they should be viewed with caution until official announcements are made.
What’s expected inside the iPhone 17 series:
Apple is reportedly planning meaningful internal upgrades with this generation, especially for the Pro models.
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to be powered by the A19 Pro chip, offering major performance improvements.
The iPhone 17 and 17 Air may retain the A18 chip from the iPhone 16, a cost-saving move that could again invite criticism, as it did in previous generations.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max may also bump its RAM to 12 GB, with other models expected to ship with 8 GB—a solid amount for most users.
Battery, charging, and cooling:
Battery life is expected to see modest improvements across all models.
Apple may introduce 35W wired charging, a welcome upgrade, though still lagging behind fast-charging Android rivals.
Most intriguingly, the iPhone 17 Pro Max could feature a vapour chamber cooling system, a first for iPhones. This would help maintain peak performance during intensive tasks like gaming or 4K video editing.
iOS 26 and design refinements:
Following Apple’s WWDC 2025 presentation, we know the iPhone 17 series will run iOS 26, which introduces a new “Liquid Glass” interface—described as a major visual overhaul.
If the leaked renders prove accurate, the iPhone 17 lineup may deliver the biggest shift in Apple’s smartphone design since the iPhone X, with the Air model especially signalling Apple’s push toward minimalist aesthetics.a
Apple has yet to officially confirm any details, but with the September launch window approaching, more concrete announcements are expected soon. Until then, fans will be closely watching for more leaks and spec updates on what could be Apple’s most polished iPhone series yet.
