Key features include a modular design with customisable earcups, physical tactile controls like a Roller dial and Energy Slider for sound tuning, and a configurable button

CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing, has officially launched its first over-ear wireless headphones, the CMF Headphone Pro. This new release aims to deliver a high-end audio experience by combining customisation, cutting-edge technology, and extended battery life with budget-friendly pricing.
Design and customisation
The CMF Headphone Pro stands out with its modular design and customizable elements. Users can change between interchangeable ear cushions available in various colours, including Light Green and Orange shades, allowing personal expression and comfort. The headphones come in three base colours: Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Light Green.
Physical tactile controls replace traditional touch panels, including a Roller dial for volume control, playback, and toggling active noise cancellation (ANC). A unique Energy Slider lets users adjust bass and treble levels to suit different listening moods—from high-energy tracks to relaxing podcasts. Additionally, a configurable button provides quick access to features such as Spatial Audio, AI assistant activation (including ChatGPT), and ANC mode switching. These controls can be personalised using the Nothing X app.
Audio performance and noise cancellation
The headphones feature large 40mm custom dynamic drivers with nickel-plated diaphragms that ensure clear treble and rich bass with reduced distortion. They support Hi-Res audio playback through the LDAC codec, offering high-quality wireless sound transmission up to 990 kbps. Personal Sound technology dynamically adapts the audio output to the user’s hearing profile for consistent sound quality.
On the noise front, the Headphone Pro offers up to 40dB of hybrid adaptive ANC, powered by three hybrid microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC). This system not only reduces ambient noise effectively but also enhances voice clarity during calls. Three ANC filter presets, Adaptive ANC, and Transparency Mode help customise sound isolation based on the environment.
Battery and connectivity
One of the strongest points of the CMF Headphone Pro is its battery life. It offers an impressive 100 hours of playback when ANC is off and up to 50 hours with ANC enabled. Quick charging via USB-C gives 5 hours of playback on just a 5-minute charge. The headphones also support on-the-go charging from compatible smartphones.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4 with support for SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs. Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, and a low-latency mode (under 120 milliseconds) for gaming enhance usability across devices and platforms. The headphones are rated IPX2 for water resistance, making them suitable for everyday use.
Pricing and availability
The CMF Headphone Pro is expected to be priced in India around ₹8,000 to ₹9,400. Globally, the headphones are priced at $99 in the US (approximately ₹8,700), £79 in the UK (around ₹8,242), and €99 in Europe (about ₹10,329). The India launch is anticipated by the end of 2025, though exact pricing details are yet to be announced.
