Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has launched its newest premium audio product, the CMF Headphone Pro, in India on January 13, bringing a powerful 100-hour battery and hybrid active noise cancellation to the mid-range headphone segment. The new over-ear wireless headphones focus on long battery life, immersive sound and smart controls, while keeping pricing aggressive for the Indian market.

CMF Headphone Pro design and build

The CMF Headphone Pro comes with a modern over-ear design that balances comfort with a solid build. The main headphone unit measures 168.5 mm in height, 95.7 mm in width and 188.5 mm in depth, with a total weight of 283 g, making it suitable for extended listening sessions without causing excessive strain.

The cushions have been designed to offer long-term comfort and passive noise isolation. Each cushion measures 96 mm in height, 95.7 mm in width and 30 mm in depth, while weighing 45 g. The headphones are also built with IPX2-rated water and dust resistance, giving them basic protection against sweat and light splashes, making them suitable for everyday commuting and workouts.

The CMF Headphone Pro is available in three colour options: Light Green, Light Grey and Dark Grey.

CMF Headphone Pro sound

The CMF Headphone Pro is equipped with 40 mm drivers designed to deliver rich and detailed audio. It supports a frequency response range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, covering both deep bass and crisp highs.

The diaphragm uses a dome structure made from PEN and PU materials, combined with a nickel-plated coating, which helps improve sound clarity, durability and vibration control across different listening volumes.

CMF Headphone Pro battery

One of the biggest highlights of the CMF Headphone Pro is its massive 720 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The headphones support Type-C wired charging and can be fully charged in 120 minutes.

Fast charging support allows the CMF Headphone Pro to deliver impressive playback times even with a short top-up. With ANC turned off, a 5-minute charge provides up to 8 hours of playback at 50% volume. With ANC turned on, a 5-minute charge gives up to 4 hours of playback at 50% volume.

In terms of overall battery life, the headphones can deliver up to 100 hours of playback at 50% volume when using the AAC codec with ANC turned off. With ANC enabled, AAC playback drops to up to 50 hours.

When using the LDAC codec, users can expect up to 70 hours of playback with ANC off and up to 38 hours with ANC on.

For voice calls, the CMF Headphone Pro offers up to 50 hours of talk time with ANC turned off and up to 35 hours with ANC turned on, making it one of the longest-lasting wireless headphones in its segment.

CMF Headphone Pro noise cancellation and calls

For noise control, the CMF Headphone Pro features hybrid active noise cancellation with a depth of up to 40 dB and an operating frequency range of 2000 Hz. It uses a total of five microphones to detect and cancel external noise effectively.

The headphones also come with an environment adaptive ANC algorithm, which automatically adjusts noise cancellation levels based on the surrounding environment. There is also a transparency mode that allows users to hear ambient sounds without removing the headphones, making it easier to stay aware of traffic or conversations.

For calls, CMF has included a three-microphone ENC architecture that improves voice clarity during phone calls and online meetings. The headphones also feature a wind noise conduction mesh, which helps reduce wind interference when using the headphones outdoors.

CMF Headphone Pro connectivity and compatibility

The CMF Headphone Pro comes with Bluetooth 5.4 and offers a wireless connection range of up to 10 metres. It supports dual-device connection.

The headphones are compatible with Android devices running version 5.1 and above, as well as iPhones running iOS 13 and later.

CMF Headphone Pro controls and smart features

CMF has equipped the Headphone Pro with a range of physical and smart controls for ease of use. The power and Bluetooth button allows users to turn the headphones on or off by holding it for one second, while Bluetooth pairing is activated by holding it for three seconds.

An LED charging and status light is also included. When the battery is below 10 percent, the LED glows red for three seconds, while at 10 percent or higher, it glows white for three seconds. The LED also shows power and Bluetooth status.
