Apple has officially launched the new MacBook Pro 14-inch (2025) and iPad Pro with its powerful M5 chip in India

Apple’s latest hardware refresh is now available in India. The company has launched the MacBook Pro 14-inch (2025) and the iPad Pro with the new M5 chip, both of which promise major gains in AI processing and graphics performance.
According to Apple, the M5 chipset delivers up to 3.5 times faster AI processing and 1.6 times improved graphics performance compared to its predecessor. The devices are now on sale through Apple’s online store, authorised retail outlets, and select third-party sellers across the country.

The MacBook Pro 14-inch (2025) starts at Rs. 1,69,900 for the base model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The 1TB variant is priced at Rs. 1,89,900, while the higher configuration with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage costs Rs. 2,09,900. Customers can further configure it with up to 32GB of unified memory and 4TB of storage.
The laptop is available in Silver and Space Black colour options. Apple is offering instant savings of up to Rs. 10,000 on eligible Mac purchases via select bank cards, along with no-cost EMI offers.
iPad Pro with M5 Chip: Price in India and Features
The iPad Pro with M5 chip starts at Rs. 99,990 for the 11-inch Wi-Fi model with 256GB storage, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular version begins at Rs. 1,19,900. The larger 13-inch model starts at Rs. 1,29,900 (Wi-Fi) and Rs. 1,49,900 (Wi-Fi + Cellular).
Buyers can customise configurations up to 2TB of onboard storage. Apple also offers a nano-texture display option with the 1TB and 2TB variants. The tablet is available in Silver and Space Black finishes. Customers can avail instant cashback of up to Rs. 4,000 and 12-month no-cost EMI options on select cards.
Both iPad Pro models run on iPadOS 26 and feature OLED displays, 12-megapixel cameras, and up to 12GB RAM.
Performance Reviews Highlight M5 Chip’s Speed and Efficiency
Tech reviews published ahead of launch indicate a significant leap in performance. Geekbench 6 benchmarks show that the M5 chip’s CPU is up to 20% faster than the M4, while the GPU sees a 35% performance boost — a major advantage for video editors, 3D artists, and other professionals.
A standout upgrade is the adoption of PCIe 5.0 storage, which effectively doubles SSD speeds. Tests by The Verge and PetaPixel confirm that the M5-powered MacBook Pro loads applications almost instantly and handles large media files with ease.
Despite these power gains, the device retains its efficiency and battery performance, keeping in line with Apple’s design standards.
