Apple has released iOS 18 Developer Beta 2. This new version of iOS was released at the Worldwide Developers Conference on June 10. Following that, 'iOS 18 Developer Beta 1' was also released.

Many new features including hide app, folder and dark mode came to iPhones in the first beta version itself. Apple has introduced additional features in the second beta version.

Features of  iOS 18 developer Beta 2

The second beta version has arrived with the iPhone mirroring feature. This was one of the new features that Apple showcased during the keynote at the Worldwide Developers Conference. This is a system that can mirror an iPhone screen to a Mac. This allows you to receive calls and view notifications. Apps on the phone can also be used from the Mac using this. It is also possible to transfer files from Mac to iPhone and vice versa with a simple drag and drop. This screen mirroring feature is only available when the iPhone is paired with a Mac running macOS Sequoia beta 2.
It has also introduced a new toggle button in iPhone Settings for RCS messaging. However, this feature has not been activated yet. It is only available to US customers using a telecom network that supports RCS messaging.

The dark mode introduced in beta 1 allowed all home screen icons to be changed to dark mode, but the app store app icon remained unchanged. But in the second beta version, the dark mode icon has also been introduced for the app store. There is also the option to change wallpaper to dark mode.

Another feature that comes in the second update is that it includes the ability for third-party app stores to work by the European Union's Digital Markets Act (DMA) wherein apps can be installed directly from websites.

Apart from iOS 18, Apple also introduced beta updates for macOS, iPad OS, visionOS, tvOS and watchOS.
