Built on Amazon Bedrock and powered by Amazon Nova foundation models and Anthropic Claude, the Seller Assistant is designed to answer seller queries, provide recommendations and help businesses make informed decisions

Bengaluru: Amazon India has announced a suite of artificial intelligence-powered innovations aimed at helping Indian sellers streamline operations, improve efficiency and expand into international markets.
The company said its AI-powered Seller Assistant, available round the clock in English and Hinglish, is now being integrated across the seller journey to provide personalised guidance and business insights to lakhs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) selling on the platform.
Built on Amazon Bedrock and powered by Amazon Nova foundation models and Anthropic Claude, the Seller Assistant is designed to answer seller queries, provide recommendations and help businesses make informed decisions. Amazon said the tool combines the company's selling expertise with advanced AI capabilities to simplify everyday business operations.
Ahead of Prime Day 2026, Amazon is expanding the use of AI across key aspects of selling, including onboarding, catalogue creation, inventory management, fulfilment and advertising.
According to the company, AI tools can automatically generate product titles, descriptions and attributes, while pre-filling up to 70 per cent of listing information from a single image or URL. Product images can also be enhanced using AI, reducing the time required to create listings.
For inventory management, Amazon is offering machine learning-powered restocking recommendations tailored to individual sellers. The company said these tools, combined with its warehousing, fulfilment and logistics network, help sellers manage operations more efficiently across India.
Amazon is also using AI to support advertising through its Customised On-Demand Ads Experts (CODE) programme, which provides sellers with AI-driven account diagnostics and personalised recommendations to improve advertising performance.
The company said it is also strengthening support for Indian businesses looking to sell internationally. The Seller Assistant now offers AI-powered guidance on global expansion, including product recommendations based on market demand, country-specific compliance support and step-by-step tracking of the international launch process.
Amazon said the latest developments build on its vision, announced at SMBhav 2025, of making online selling more intuitive and accessible through artificial intelligence.
