Transform your TV into a PC with JioPC! Learn about specs, pricing, plans, and how Jio is revolutionizing computing

Reliance Industries introduced its new cloud-powered computing service, JioPC, during the company’s 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025. The platform aims to redefine personal computing in India by offering users a complete desktop experience directly through the Jio Set-Top Box.
TV that doubles as a computer
With JioPC, any television can be transformed into a fully functional computer. The setup requires nothing more than a Jio Set-Top Box connected to JioFiber or JioAirFiber, along with a keyboard and mouse. Instead of relying on a traditional CPU or costly hardware, the system operates entirely via Jio’s cloud infrastructure.
Since the device runs virtually, Reliance assures that users will always have access to the latest updates, enhanced security, and the ability to expand storage, memory, or overall performance without needing new equipment.
Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, described the launch as a game-changer. “JioPC is that revolutionary product that transforms your TV, or any other screen, into a full-feature, AI-ready computer. You can easily get started by connecting a keyboard into your Jio Set-Top Box. Instantly, you get a virtual computer powered from Jio’s cloud with no upfront investment. You simply pay for what you use,” he said.
How JioPC works
Getting started with JioPC is a very simple process. Once a keyboard is plugged into the Jio Set-Top Box, the virtual desktop is instantly activated. At launch, Reliance is waiving any additional activation fee.
Users simply need a television or large display, an active JioFiber or JioAirFiber connection, the set-top box, and a JioPC plan to begin.
Because the platform is cloud-based, concerns about outdated operating systems or unsupported hardware are removed. Updates and improvements are deployed remotely, keeping the system secure and efficient.
JioPC subscription options
Reliance has introduced five subscription models for JioPC, listed on its official website.
The entry-level plan is priced at ₹599 per month (plus GST), offering unlimited usage with 8GB RAM and 100GB of cloud storage. A two-month package costs ₹999, while a six-month plan—bundled with an extra two months—comes at ₹2,499.
For long-term subscribers, Reliance has set a 12-month package at ₹4,599, which also provides three additional months of validity.
JioPC hardware and software details
The JioPC Set-Top Box comes equipped with a 4-core processor, 8GB RAM, and 100GB of cloud storage. It runs on Ubuntu (Linux) and supports unlimited usage across all plans.
According to Reliance, the system is optimised for everyday computing such as web browsing, online education, productivity tools, programming, and creative design tasks.
The company also revealed plans to expand JioPC’s ecosystem with a wide range of preloaded applications and AI-powered tools, developed in collaboration with partner platforms.
