This exciting news was revealed during their Q2 2026 earnings call. The studio is also exploring gaming adaptations for the SAW franchise.

Lionsgate has officially confirmed that a big-budget AAA John Wick game is in development and will be announced soon, according to statements made during the studio's Q2 2026 earnings call in November 2025.
Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, revealed the news during the earnings presentation, stating at the 27-minute mark that "our AAA game opportunities and other gaming opportunities around John Wick and Saw and some others that we'll be announcing soon" are moving forward. The executive noted that Lionsgate has observed increased interest and opportunities to adapt its gaming franchises, with development progress remaining on schedule.
Expanding the Gaming Universe
The announcement marks an important step in Lionsgate's broader strategy to expand its entertainment franchises beyond film. In addition to the John Wick project, the studio confirmed it is also developing gaming adaptations for the SAW franchise and potentially other intellectual properties, though the scope of these additional titles remains undisclosed.
According to Tech4Gamers, the John Wick project is expected to be a more in-depth experience than John Wick Hex, the 2019 tactical strategy game developed by Bithell Games. The franchise, starring Keanu Reeves as the legendary assassin, has grossed over $1 billion at the global box office across four films, with John Wick: Chapter 4 earning $447 million in 2023.
Building on Gaming Ambitions
The confirmation follows years of discussion about bringing John Wick to gaming in a major way. In 2023, Lionsgate executives first stated the studio believed "there is a big AAA game to be made out of John Wick" and that proposals were being fielded from developers. The studio's Q2 2026 earnings call, which reported $475 million in revenue, appears to have solidified those plans into active development.
No developer, gameplay details, or release date have been announced. The gaming adaptation appears to be a representation of Lionsgate's commitment to creating what Fogelson described as a "regular cadence" of John Wick content across multiple platforms, including films, television, and interactive entertainment.
