Music composer Palaash Muchhal, fiancé of cricketer Smriti Mandhana, has made his first public appearance amid rumours, leaked chats and a postponed wedding. Dressed in all black, he was spotted at an airport with his family, choosing silence as cameras followed him.

Music composer Palash Muchhal made his first public appearance on Monday amid intense speculation surrounding his postponed wedding to India women’s cricket vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and the ongoing swirl of cheating allegations against him. The composer was seen at an airport on December 1, marking his first sighting since the controversy erupted last week.
Palash Steps Out Amid Rumours, Chooses Silence
Dressed in an all-black outfit and accompanied by his family, Palash was photographed exiting the airport terminal. He acknowledged the presence of paparazzi with a brief nod but did not respond to any questions about the wedding, the viral screenshots, or the social media storm surrounding him.
His quiet appearance comes days after he was reportedly hospitalised due to a combination of viral infection, stress, and severe acidity — a development his mother confirmed while emphasising the emotional shock he experienced after events on the wedding day.
Wedding Postponed After Health Emergency
The much-discussed wedding, scheduled for November 23 in Sangli, was postponed after Smriti Mandhana’s father suffered heart attack-like symptoms and was rushed to hospital. A day later, Palash’s health also deteriorated, resulting in him being admitted for treatment.
Families maintained that the ceremony was postponed, not cancelled, but the situation quickly spiralled into an online frenzy as speculation mounted.
Smriti Scrubs Instagram as Screenshots Go Viral
Shortly after the postponement, Smriti Mandhana deleted all engagement and pre-wedding photos and videos from her Instagram account. Palash, however, continues to retain his posts from the celebrations.
Meanwhile, alleged chats between Palash and a woman named Mary D’Costa surfaced on Reddit, showing flirty messages and casual meetup invitations. Mary later clarified she was not involved in any alleged cheating narrative with the choreographers whose names began circulating online.
Choreographers Deny Rumours; Social Media Pressure Grows
Choreographers Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan, whose names were dragged into the controversy through unverified rumours, issued strong denials and said the accusations had caused significant distress. Nandika revealed she had been receiving threats and requested the public to stop spreading misinformation.
Couple Maintains Silence
Despite the online storm, neither Palash nor Smriti has spoken publicly about the cheating allegations. Their only visible move has been adding the nazar/evil-eye emoji to their Instagram bios — a subtle indication of brushing off negativity as they navigate the chaos.
For now, Palash’s brief airport appearance is the only update offering a glimpse into how the composer is handling the situation — choosing silence as speculation continues to swirl around him.
