Jeemon began his racing career at the age of 18 and participated in more than 100 competitions across India

Kochi: Jeemon Antony (44), a familiar presence on mud-racing tracks, has passed away. A native of Manjummel in Kalamassery, Kochi, he was the only mud racer in the Kerala Police. He was working as a senior civil police officer at the Kalamassery police station.
Jeemon began his racing career at the age of 18 and participated in more than 100 competitions across India. He won most of the races he competed in. His interest in mud racing began with his desire to own a bike at the age of 18. On the advice of racer Binu John, he bought a Yamaha RX 135, which proved to be a turning point in his career. He later began training with Binu and took up racing professionally.
He won several championships, including the MRF 2-Wheeler National Rally Championship held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh; Royal Enfield Rider Mania 2019 in Goa; the MRF 2-Wheeler National Rally Championship in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu; and the MRF 2-Wheeler National Sprint Rally Championship in Erode, Tamil Nadu. He was also the 2022 FMSCI National Rally Sprint Champion.
