The start of the Miami Grand Prix has been moved forward by three hours from 4 pm to 1 pm Eastern Time due to the threat of heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast for Sunday afternoon.

The decision was taken after discussions between the FIA, Formula One Management and race organisers, following updated weather forecasts that indicated worsening conditions close to the original start time. Officials said the change was made to ensure the best possible chance of completing the race safely and without major disruption.

The Formula 2 feature race has been brought forward, while other support races have been adjusted or cancelled to accommodate the new timetable.
