Mumbai: Divorce rumours between dancer and social media influencer Dhanashree Verma and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal have resurfaced after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. Yuzvendra has removed all photos featuring Dhanashree, while she still has photographs with him despite unfollowing him.

The chatter about their relationship began in 2023 when Dhanashree removed ‘Chahal’ from her Instagram name. Adding fuel to the rumours, Yuzvendra shared a cryptic Instagram story that read, “New life loading.”

Dhanashree and Yuzvendra got engaged in 2020 and married in December of the same year in a private ceremony in Gurugram, Haryana. The two first met in 2019 when Dhanashree was working as a choreographer for the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore, where Yuzvendra was playing as a spinner. They started dating after that.

Dhanashree’s Rise to Fame
The 28-year-old Dhanashree is known for her fusion dance performances, blending traditional Indian dance with contemporary styles. She gained significant attention after choreographing the dance sequence for the song “Vaathi Coming” from the 2021 Tamil film Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film stars Vijay as the protagonist and Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. Dhanashree was also a finalist in the eleventh edition of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, judged by Arshad Warsi, Farah Khan, and Malaika Arora. The winners were Manisha Rani and Ashutosh Pawar.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s Cricket Career
Chahal, 34, plays for the Indian cricket team in white-ball formats as a leg-spin bowler. He also represents Haryana in domestic cricket and plays for the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chahal made history as the second player and the first Indian to take a six-wicket haul in T20I cricket. Before cricket, Chahal was also a chess player and represented India internationally.
