With fast bowler Jamie Overton missing the rest of the white-ball series against the West Indies after suffering a broken finger, England confirmed they will make just one change to their starting line-up at Sophia Gardens, where they are hopeful of sealing a first ODI series win since September 2023- replacing Matthew James Potts with Overton.

Overton suffered the injury while attempting to catch a ball during his second delivery in England's 238-run victory in the first one-day international on Thursday.

The 31-year-old quickly ran to the dressing room, holding his right hand and wincing in pain. After receiving treatment, he came back to bowl five additional overs, achieving his best ODI performance with figures of three for 22. However, he is now expected to be out for a brief period.

Overton will enter a rehabilitation phase under the care of the England medical staff. There will be no substitute added to the ODI squad.

England vs. West Indies ODI series schedule:

- 2nd ODI: Cardiff, June 1

- 3rd ODI: The Oval, June 3

The second ODI of the three-match series will be held in Cardiff on Sunday, with the series wrapping up at the Kia Oval on Tuesday. The first T20I will then kick off in Chester-le-Street on Friday.
