Earlier this month, the Indian hockey team, led by Harmanpreet Singh, secured a historic bronze medal by defeating Spain 2-1. This achievement marked India’s second consecutive Olympic medal in hockey, a feat not accomplished in 52 years. The match, held at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium, was especially significant as it also marked the farewell game of the legendary Indian goalkeeper P.R. Sreejesh, who played his last international match.
