Malappuram: Indian wicketkeeper-batsman and Malayali star Sanju Samson has become the co-owner of Super League Kerala club Malappuram FC. The club officially announced Sanju's participation in the team owners through their Instagram post.
Malappuram FC is the second professional football club based in Malappuram after the I League club Gokulam FC.
Rumours have been rife since last week that Sanju Samson will acquire stake in MFC. But there was no official confirmation in this regard. Malappuram FC got off to a great start by defeating actor Prithviraj's Force Kochi in the inaugural match of the first season.
Bismi Group MD V.A. Ajmal Bismi, Dr. Anvar Ameen Chelat and Baby Neelambra are currently co-owners of Malappuram FC. Mancheri Payyanad Stadium is the home ground of Malappuram FC.
