Nagoya: The Indian duo of Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai secured the gold medal in the trap mixed team event at the Asian Games on Wednesday, shattering the continental record in the process.
Having advanced to the final in fourth place, the Indian team posted a score of 34 to claim the top spot. Qatar's Mohammed Al-Rumaihi and Ray Bassil took the silver medal with a tally of 32.

The previous Asian benchmark of 30, which belonged to Qatar, had been established earlier this year in January.
China's Qi Ying and Sun Yunong collected the bronze medal after finishing with a score of 23.
The victory brings a memorable conclusion to the Asian Games campaign for the 26-year-old Neeru, who on Tuesday became the first Indian woman shooter to secure an individual trap medal at the event when she won gold with an Asian record.
