Ahmedabad: Kerala won its second gold in the 36th National Games here on Sunday. Swimmer Olympian Sajan Prakash won the gold medal for Kerala in the 100-metre butterfly event.

He clinched the gold by reaching the finishing point within 55.32 seconds.

Sajan won silver in 200-metre freestyle swimming on Sunday. He clocked 1:52:43 in the free-style heats to win the silver while Karnataka’s Aneesh Gowda finished the heat by winning gold.

Sajan Prakash emerged as the Best Male Athlete of the 2015 National Games in his home state after bagging a phenomenal six gold and three silver medals. Besides him and backstroke specialist Srihari Nataraj, who is aiming to shine in the Freestyle sprints, Siva Sridhar (Karnataka) and a host of other young claimants for that crown this time around.
