New Delhi: Cricketer Mohammed Shami responded to the rumours that he is set to marry former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza. 

During an interview with YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra, the Indian cricketer Shami asked netizens to refrain from spreading such untrue things on social media. 

Shami said, “I could see such memes if I opened my phone. All I would like to add is that, while I believe memes are amusing, you should consider sharing something relevant to someone's life before doing so. These people share from unverified pages and get away by saying whatever they want”.

Both Sania and Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami talked about their opinions on marriage a few days ago. Because of this, people started assuming that they were getting married. AI-generated photos also circulated that showed the duo in wedding attire. 

Sania broke up with former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik months ago. Soon after, Malik married Pakistani actress Sana Javed. Shoaib married Sania in April 2010, and the two of them have a son named Izhaan. Sania's father Imran Mirza also came forward denying the news of marriage.
