Rajgir (Bihar): The Indian Men’s Hockey Team delivered a spectacular performance in their final Pool A game of the Asia Cup Rajgir 2025, defeating Kazakhstan 15-0 at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium on Monday. Three Indian players recorded hat-tricks, while others contributed to a dominant team display, according to Hockey India.

Hat-tricks and scorers

Abhishek (5', 8', 20', 59'), Sukhjeet Singh (15', 32', 38'), and Jugraj Singh (24', 31', 47') scored hat-tricks for India. Additional goals came from Captain Harmanpreet Singh (26'), Amit Rohidas (29'), Sanjay (54'), and Dilpreet Singh (55'). India, already assured of a Super 4s berth, finished top of Pool A with nine points from three games.

India dominate from the start

India started strongly, with Abhishek opening the scoring in the 5th minute. He doubled the lead three minutes later, and Sukhjeet Singh added a third just before the end of the first quarter, assisted by Abhishek. Kazakhstan managed a few incursions but could not penetrate India’s defence.

Second-quarter dominance

In the second quarter, India maintained possession and control. Despite Captain Harmanpreet Singh being denied twice from Penalty Corners, Abhishek completed his hat-trick (20'), and Jugraj Singh converted a Penalty Corner (24'). Captain Harmanpreet Singh (26') and Amit Rohidas (29') also scored, giving India a 7-0 lead at half-time.

Third-quarter scoring spree

The third quarter saw early action with Jugraj Singh converting a penalty stroke (31'), followed by Rajinder Singh (32') and Sukhjeet Singh (32'). Sukhjeet added another (38'), taking India to 11-0 at the break. Kazakhstan remained unable to mount any significant attacks.

Final-quarter finish

Jugraj Singh (47') scored again from a penalty stroke in the final quarter. Sanjay (54') and Dilpreet Singh (55') extended the lead before Abhishek (59') completed his fourth goal of the match. India sealed a commanding 15-0 victory, delighting home supporters.
