Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and actor-dancer Dhanashree Verma have legally ended their marriage. The Bandra Family Court in Mumbai granted the divorce on Thursday. Both Chahal and Dhanashree appeared in court on the same day to have their divorce proceedings heard.

On the day the divorce was granted, Chahal arrived at the court wearing a T-shirt. However, the phrase on the T-shirt has already sparked significant discussion on social media. The phrase read, "Be your own sugar daddy," which many on social media speculated was a message directed at Dhanashree. Chahal had worn a jacket over the T-shirt when he arrived at the court but removed it when leaving, bringing attention to the message on the shirt.

The phrase "Be your own sugar daddy" indicates someone who is financially independent, not reliant on money, gifts, or other people for support. Given the context of the divorce, it was speculated on social media that Chahal wore the T-shirt to send a direct message to Dhanashree.

As part of the divorce settlement, Chahal has agreed to pay Dhanashree a lump sum of ₹4.75 crore as alimony. He had already paid ₹2.37 crore as the first instalment. The remaining amount is to be paid after the completion of the divorce proceedings, as ordered by the Bombay High Court.
