Paris: Antim Panghal, the leading contender for an Indian wrestling gold, lost badly to Yetgil Zeynep of Turkey on Wednesday in the women's 53 kg division at the Paris Olympics. In the opening round, Antim, who was among the first to secure an Olympic qualification in the category previously held by Vinesh Phogat, was defeated in 101 seconds.
The Turkish wrestler defeated her Indian opponent by a commanding 10-point margin because to "Technical Superiority."
Zeynep was in complete control as she first pinned Antim for two points, followed by another two and then performed a double flip to get four points.
She completed the rout with another two points when the referee stopped the bout, leaving Antim in tears.
