Kochi: Frank Dauwen, assistant coach of Kerala Blasters FC will train the team in the Hero Super Cup.

The disciplinary committee of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) had imposed a 10-match ban on Blasters’ head coach Ivan Vukamanovic for leading his team's walkout during a match against Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League (ISL).

Dauwen, a Belgian professional football coach and former player, has also coached Belgium club Birscott and Saudi club Al Ahly's youth team.

Dauwen is likely to coach Blasters in the Durand Cup as well.

Ishfaq Ahmed, another co-coach of the team, was actively considered to replace Vukomanovic.
