Wiaan Mulder’s bowling injury did not stop South Africa from dominating, with pacer Lungi Ngidi starring in the match.

South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder gave fans a massive scare after suffering a shocking fall while bowling during the second ODI against Australia in Mackay. The incident happened on his very first ball of the innings when his back foot slipped on the crease, almost causing what could have been a serious setback.
Luckily, the 26-year-old all-rounder Wiaan Mulder managed to land safely and avoided any major injury. After regaining composure, Mulder quickly returned to rhythm and struck a crucial blow by dismissing Australian captain Mitchell Marsh, who mistimed a pull shot and was caught at mid-wicket.
Wiaan Mulder’s bowling injury did not stop South Africa from dominating, with pacer Lungi Ngidi starring in the match. Ngidi picked up 5/42 to bundle Australia out for 193 while chasing 278, sealing an 84-run win and giving South Africa their fifth straight bilateral ODI series win against the Aussies.
With his latest five-wicket haul, Ngidi joined an elite list of bowlers — including Trent Boult, Shane Bond, and Curtly Ambrose — to claim multiple fifers against Australia in ODIs.
In 11 ODIs against Australia, Ngidi has taken 26 wickets at an average of 16.96, with a strike rate of 20.2 and an economy rate of 5.03, with best figures of 6/58.
This is South Africa's fifth consecutive bilateral ODI series win against Australia.
