The win puts South Africa ahead 1-0 in the two-match series and breaks a long-standing jinx for the visiting side.

South Africa set India a target of 124 runs to win after posting 153 runs in their second innings. Proteas captain Temba Bavuma starred with an unbeaten 55, anchoring the innings on a challenging pitch.
