Dhawan joins a list of celebrities, including former cricketer Suresh Raina, being investigated for their alleged promotion or endorsement of such platforms

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan for questioning today at 11 am in connection with a money laundering case tied to the illegal online betting platform 1xBet, officials confirmed.
Dhawan is among several celebrities, including cricketers and actors, under investigation for their alleged involvement in promoting or endorsing illegal betting apps operating in India.
Similar summons and questioning have been carried out recently for other sportspersons and celebrities, including former cricketer Suresh Raina, who was grilled for several hours over the same case.
