
Star batter Sachin Baby created history by scoring the first century in the inaugural edition of the Kerala Cricket League, leading his team to a seven-wicket victory over Kochi Blue Tigers.
In the second match played on the tenth day of the tournament, Kochi Blue Tigers set a target of 158 runs after batting first. Aries Kollam Sailors chased down this target in just 18.4 overs, thanks to Baby's outstanding innings. He remained unbeaten with 105 runs off 50 balls, which included eight sixes and five boundaries, and was named Player of the Match.

They lost their first wicket at a score of 15 when Ananthakrishnan, who had scored 12 runs off eight balls, was dismissed by K. Asif, with Abhishek Nair taking the catch. A notable contribution came from Sijomon Joseph, who scored 50 runs off 33 balls with three sixes and three boundaries. He was dismissed by N. M. Sharafuddeen when the team's score had surpassed 150.
In reply, Kollam Sailors lost their opener Abhishek Nair early when the score was 10. However, Sachin Baby, in partnership with Rahul Sharma, steered the team to victory. Notably, Baby hit four consecutive sixes off Manu Krishna’s over, showcasing his powerful batting and securing a convincing win for Kollam Sailors.
