Thiruvananthapuram: Following a string of losses in Ranji Trophy, Kerala cricket team has removed Sachin Baby from captaincy. All-rounder Jalaj Saxena will lead the team.

Kerala, who entered the semi-finals of the tournament for the first time in their history last season have been on a torrid run of form this season. They suffered four defeats in six matches prompting the selection committee to change things around.

Jalaj Saxena will lead Kerala against Andhra Pradesh in the next match. Basil Thampi and Robin Uthappa have returned after injury and will replace Sijomon Joseph and Mohammed Azharuddeen.
