Sameer Minhas’ record-breaking 172 powers Pakistan U19 to a crushing 192-run win over India in the Asia Cup final.

Pakistan Under-19 produced a dominant all-round performance to hammer India Under-19 by 192 runs and lift the U19 Asia Cup 2025 title in Dubai on Sunday.
The emphatic victory marked Pakistan’s second U19 Asia Cup triumph and their first since 2012, ending India’s bid for a record-extending ninth crown.
Batting first in the high-stakes final, Pakistan posted a mammoth 347/8 in 50 overs, powered by a sensational knock from opener Sameer Minhas, who smashed 172 off just 113 balls.
Minhas reached his century in only 71 deliveries and went on to register the highest individual score in the history of an U19 Asia Cup final, completely dismantling the Indian bowling attack.
India’s chase unravelled almost immediately. Pakistan’s pacers struck early and hard, reducing Ayush Mhatre-led India to five wickets down inside the first 10 overs.
Despite having dominated the tournament with unbeaten performances leading up to the final, India failed to recover from the early collapse and were eventually bowled out for just 156.
The margin of defeat stands as the second-largest by runs in a U19 Asia Cup final, underlining Pakistan’s supremacy on the big day.
For India, the loss was a bitter end to an otherwise flawless campaign, while Pakistan celebrated a resounding statement victory on one of youth cricket’s biggest stages.
