Dubai: India’s left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav climbed to a career-best 14th position in the latest ICC Test Bowling Rankings, following his stellar eight-wicket match haul in the second Test against the West Indies in New Delhi.

Kuldeep jumped seven places, while West Indies bowlers Jomel Warrican and captain Roston Chase also made gains, moving up to 30th and 57th respectively.

In the batting rankings, India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal rose two spots to fifth after his impressive 175-run innings in the first innings of the Delhi Test. KL Rahul, with scores of 38 and 58 not out, advanced two places to 33rd. For the West Indies, century-makers Shai Hope and John Campbell gained 34 and six places respectively, reaching 66th and 68th spots.

In ODIs, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the ICC Bowling Rankings, after leading his side to a 3-0 series win over Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi. Rashid took 11 wickets, including a five-for in the second match, moving up five places to top the list with 710 rating points, ahead of South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj by 30 points.

Rashid last held the No. 1 position in November 2024, having first achieved it in September 2018. Fellow Afghan seamer Azmatullah Omarzai also reached a career-high ranking of 21st, climbing 19 places after taking seven wickets in the series.

Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Tanzim Hasan Sakib made progress as well, moving up to 24th and 67th , respectively.
