
Kochi: Following in the footsteps of players like Minnu Mani, Sajana Sajeevan, and Asha Sobhana, Kochi's Ananya Pradeep has secured a spot in the India Women’s A Cricket Team.
She has been chosen for the squad for the Women’s Challenger Trophy T20 tournament, which starts on the 17th in Ranchi.
Ananya is from Pallikkara, Ernakulam. A wicketkeeper-batter, Ananya was one of the top run-scorers in India’s Under-19 cricket team.
She has scored 172 runs in five T20 matches and 173 runs in four One Day matches for Kerala.
Ananya, who now resides in Bengaluru, is the daughter of Pradeep Rajan and Piby Pradeep. She is currently pursuing a BBA at Mysuru University.
