New Delhi: Putting an end to the long wait, BCCI has announced the list of players who will feature in the upcoming Men’s Asia Cup 2025.

The announcement came during a press conference addressed by Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and T20I Captain Suryakumar Yadav.

Surya Kumar Yadav (C), Shubman Gill (VC), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma (WK), Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson (WK), Harshit Rana, Rinku Singh

The most notable absentees from the Indian Asia Cup squad are Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravi Bishnoi, and Washington Sundar.

Suryakumar on Bumrah’s Return

Suryakumar Yadav spoke on the return of Jasprit Bumrah, who missed several key matches following the T20 World Cup. “After the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean, he got busy with the Test calendar. He is free now, and he is returning to the side. We are happy to have him back,” said Suryakumar.

Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar emphasised the importance of Bumrah’s availability while acknowledging the challenges of injury.

“We want Jasprit to be available all the time. But injuries have taken their toll and he is being monitored by the physios. We hope that he is available more often than not,” said Agarkar.
